Top DJ Mr. Exoh is Northern California’s Sound Choice for Maximizing a Party’s Live Entertainment Energy

The best thing to happen to drum ’n’ bass, and house music in the last decade, might just be Mr. Exoh, the Northern California DJ who has been racking up demand, including a growing wait list. With clean tracks that pop and rumble audiences out of their seats, his keen skill is as much on stage as it is in the studio. With this year’s release of his newest EP, Revival, one thing is certain for Mr. Exoh’s growing fanbase—they can expect even bigger things from this unstoppable artist.

Listening to Revival, it’s hard to miss influences of Deadmau5 and the house DJs of the late 90s to early 2000s. The track, Flow, transcends the listener into a delightful rhythm reminiscent of rave track favorites. With an unsurpassed sound quality, all-encompassing as it is syncopative, Flow is a contemporary take on the retro genre.

“My heart will always belong to house music,” states Mr. Exoh. “It's groovy, makes you smile, and helps to bring up the vibe of any club or party.”

His live performances are no different, as repeat clients keep bringing him back for an encore of his infectious stage presence and energy—coupled with the fluid ability to play anything from pop, rap, or reggaeton, to any form of EDM.

“It’s not just enough to be good at your craft,” adds Mr. Exoh, “But every DJ really needs to be good at reading their crowd and being able to play the correct style at that moment.”

For the celeb DJ, his obsession with producing the perfect track goes back to the LoveFest, a San Francisco street fair he attended in 2009, now known as the Love Evolution. The event made such an impact on Mr. Exoh, it influenced who he is today.

Recapping this memorable experience for the DJ, “We take the BART and walk to City Hall in San Francisco, with floats surrounding four blocks from corner to corner. Each float had a DJ including a main stage in front of City Hall. From the people, to the music, to the vibe, everything really made me feel warm inside and really connected.

That was when I realized I wanted to become a DJ and a producer, the person who provides an outlet for people to forget about the world. Even for just that moment in time. This became my new passion, to offer great music as a universal buffer and inspiration toward better days. If people could groove on the dance floor, they could groove in life. Anything is possible. I have worked hard to build my professional path to where it is now, and still growing, as I continue to share the same feeling I felt then watching Deadmau5 as part of this amazing event.”

Repeat clients keep bringing Mr. Exoh back for an encore performance of his infectious stage presence and energy.

Mr. Exoh has come a long way since his native Afghanistan roots, where he had a tough upbringing. Lots of sadness and pain from his earlier roots. Fast forward, it was his hearing live festival music for the first time that would forever alter his experience, and set the course in motion for his ultimate chosen vocation. He now thrives on providing the same magic of what live music has meant to him, to others. It was his dedicated effort to build up his base and reputation, complete with sacrifices along the way, that helped to pave his path forward. He hasn’t looked back since.

The first piece of equipment he bought to launch his career was a NuMark IDJ3 controller, where he would spend hours honing his craft. At 18 he scored his first residency at a hookah lounge, then packed with friends and family. Since that time, he has played private parties, events, and even the “SuperCity 50” event at the Oakland Coliseum where he performed alongside Alesso, Diplo, Chainsmokers, and Showtek.

By 2022, he had played in almost every club in Sacramento. With recognizable lyrics, a sweet bassline, and a flow that’s easier to dance to than stand still, Mr. Exoh looks forward to putting on more shows that keep people on the dance floor. “At least until the house lights come back on.”

At any given show DJ’d by Mr. Exoh, the dance floor is always crowded and the kickback lounge seating is equally packed, with no shortage of drink rounds.

Since 2020 Mr. Exoh has put all of his time and effort focusing on production and continuing to make music that people enjoy and that he loves. And his effort is paying off, with over 2,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and about 6,000 song plays. Mr. Exoh is inarguably on the rise.

Mr. Exoh thrives on providing the same live magic of what music has meant to him, to others.

Up next for Mr. Exoh, he is gearing to launch the first few episodes of his new podcast, “Life of Two.” The podcast speaks to the choices people are faced with and serves as a what-if discussion of how life might have been different had different choices been made.

“I simply enjoy reflecting to people what can happen when you dedicate yourself to pursuing your dreams.”
